If people ran to Jesus, why do they run from us?
In Him they found acceptance, so why must we always judge?
We have become unlike Him, where did we go so wrong?
How could we be unloving for so long?
Why do the people of the way seem to cause such harm...
Where are all the loving open arms?
When will we love with the love of Jesus?
When will we show the world we care?
Why don’t we serve every saint and every sinner?
With more than just an empty prayer
For the world to see His face, we must treat them with His grace
For the world to know the truth, we must love them
With the love of Jesus
He reached out to the drunkards, to the prostitutes and thieves
He reached out to the guilty, and to all the least of these
He reached out to the people society condemned
He reached out and He didn’t just pretend
Why do the holy perfect people have to pick and choose?
Where are all the low lifes and the sinners in the pews?
When will we love with the love of Jesus?
When will we show the world we care?
Why don’t we serve every saint and every sinner?
With more than just an empty prayer
For the world to see His face, we must treat them with His grace
For the world to know the truth, we must love them
With the love of Jesus
Because Jesus came into the world to save the human race
And He hung upon the lonely cross, and died there in our place
And if He could go so far, and give so much just to forgive
What are we judging for?
When will we love with the love of Jesus?
When will we show the world we care?
Why don’t we serve every saint and every sinner?
With more than just an empty prayer
For the world to see His face, we must treat them with His grace
For the world to know the truth, we must love them
With the love of Jesus
